Easter Connect

First of all thank you for your interest in Making Britain Smile.
In preparation for Easter 2011, we developed a simple programme to allow the children to once again send a card to a senior in their local community. This time however we made it possible for the children to meet face to face with some of the elderly who received the children’s Christmas cards back in 2010, for an interview. The participating senior had the opportunity to tell the children some of the fascinating stories about their participation in the community throughout their lifetime. We discovered that many of them have some amazing history and work they’ve done locally, some of them having lived up to 95 years.
